What We Do:

Focus on Korean basics and learn the language, culture, and history through Hangul and everyday conversation.

First Step Korean: Learn to read simple characters starting with the basic Hangul consonants and vowels.
This course is for students who are learning Hangul for the first time.
(Lower Grades: K – 4th Grade / Upper Grades: 5th – 8th Grade)

I Can Read Korean: After the First Step Korean, learning final consonants and double vowels, practice reading sentences.
This course is for students who would like to join elementary classes at SVKS or want to solidify the foundation of Korean sentence structure.
(Lower Grades: K – 4th Grade / Upper Grades: 5th – 8th Grade)

Adult Korean Beginner: Our Beginner program has expanded from 3 to 6 levels, now forming a structured 2-year course.
* This spring, we are offering Beginner 1, 2, 3, and 4.
* 12-week sessions, register per session
* Beginner 1–3: Textbook 1 / Beginner 4–6: Textbook 2
* Students learn from the Korean alphabet to essential expressions and basic
conversation.
* Placement test available as needed.
